Cleveland Browns Discussion

I hoped they would just tweak the new uniforms, not go back to the old ones. These look old fashion. Glad the geriatrics love them.

Sounds like the Trent Williams trade noise is getting louder.

they were able to grab wills.

great pick for the browns, he is a much needed gimme for the line.

only down i saw is he once had a broken foot -- he played every game at alabama tho, so thats old news.

I think they said he's going to be switching sides of the line, and will protect bakers blindside...

Good pick here.. would be nice to get a joe Thomas caliber player

Let's be realistic. If you get a player who is 75 percent of Joe Thomas, that's a very good selection. He'll be a consistent starter and maybe make a pro bowl or three.

Next up, Browns must use most of their remaining picks on defense. Gotta get a LB and a long-term solution at safety, plus depth. And I'd still make a run at Everson Griffen in FA.

Classic.  The Browns are a classic team, like the Bears or Packers.   The latter have told Nike's art school dropouts to go away the whole time.

Leave trendy crap to the newbie teams like the Jaguars and Ratbirds.

I wouldn't mind one more OL, but they certainly have enough skill players on offense.

i would like to know the thinking of the giants, who were in the drivers seat, for picking andrew thomas over wills.

seems like a coin flip to me, but there must have been some intangible.

myles gives obj some grief -- its pretty funny -- and another reason why rodman was one of my favorite players:

The irony of Myles Garrett posting that-they are dragging him more than laughing at OBJ. OBJ better perform well this season(if there is one)so he is not so much known for his various on and off the field "antics". He could get away with that early on but now...not so much.

Why should football be any different than other businesses? Sometimes it make sense to work for a company even if they don't give you the biggest offer.

I think not wanting to sign with the browns is evidence of a sound and sober mind.

Clowney is doing them a favor. Clowney is overrated, selfish and will be complaining by mid-season.

He has a higher overall rating than Myles Garrett from PFF last 3 seasons

I have to admit I'd love to see Miles and Clowney going after opposing QBs together.   But eff him.  If he doesn't want to play here, go to a "major market" and good luck.

Not saying you're wrong at all, but the Director of PFF was just on 92.3 saying that Clowney wasn't in the same league as Myles and the upper echelon of edge rushers. He also said that Clowney demands to become the highest paid player at the position.

PFF doesn't measure everything that I consider to be important in a player, including how he relates to others especially his own teammates and coaches.
