Trump Affiliates: Criminal Thread

Welcome to Russia...

"Most of us have been conditioned to regard military combat as exciting and glamorous -- an opportunity for men to prove their competence and courage. Since armies are legal, we feel that war is acceptable; in general, nobody feels that that war is criminal or that accepting it is a criminal attitude. In fact, we have been brainwashed. War is neither glamorous nor attractive. It is monstrous. Its very nature is one of tragedy and suffering" --Dalai Lama

Meanwhile Betsy DeVos violated a court order to stop collecting student loan payments for Concordia College, which closed in 2015.  However, the $100,000 fine levied will be paid by the government, not by her personally, even though it was her responsibility to stop collecting these payments.  She's not held accountable, so why should she stop?  It's hard for me to think of another member of the current cabinet less prepared or qualified for their position than her.

How can the DOJ run a private investigation, I thought they should be done in the open with due process?

This is more likely, albeit slightly less despicable....

I have a feeling this will go nowhere. Trump just wants a headline.

Or a distraction. Here's how to turn a potential distraction into the thing from which they are trying to distract...

Bolton is weighing giving a deposition in the impeachment inquiry.  Amazing.

You can photoshop a guy out of a photo, but you can't photoshop him out of existence (unless you're Vlad "The Apothecary" Putin)....

Is Trump Taking A Page Out Of Stalin's Book?

Why did John Bolton get replaced with Bill Barr in this photo?

In the Capitol on Nov. 14, as CNN began to ask a question about the trip to Vienna, Nunes interjected and said, "I don't talk to you in this lifetime or the next lifetime."

"At any time," Nunes added. "On any question."

Asked again on Thursday about his travel to Vienna and his interactions with Shokin and Parnas, Nunes gave a similar response.

"To be perfectly clear, I don't acknowledge any questions from you in this lifetime or the next lifetime," Nunes said while leaving the impeachment hearing. "I don't acknowledge any question from you ever."

I think this is the most disturbing thing from that article.  The GOP is beginning to think that it should be completely unaccountable to the press or the public.  It started with Trump, but it's spreading thoughout the entire party.

It didnt start with Trump. Brainwashing the flock into believing that you can't trust media has been a decades long campaign. Unfortunately, the whole country is paying for it now.

^I like Joaquin Castro.   I was thinking that Schiff could start an impeachment inquiry on Barr once he turns over the impeachment report to Judicial Committee. They need to get to the bottom of why the whistleblower’s testimony was never acted upon or even given over to the Intelligence committee among other AG failings and untruths.

Interesting that none of the major news outlets have made one mention of this.    Has it not been confirmed?

^I think it is hard for “liberals” to get too concerned about likely right wing wealthy capitalists offing themselves.  It is also hard at this point to link any of these together in any way if they are not suicides.  We/most are not “looking” for conspiracy theories to peddle.

Anyways, certainly many more reasons for murder besides political.  It seems a reach that with the amount of records banks hold that a person/banker even if they are in a high position would be killed to prevent that information to come out.

We are waiting for the Supreme Court now to weigh in and then the Congress will receive a boatload of financial data regardless of what this deceased banker knew.

Lev Parnas Adds New Details on Push to Oust U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine

Records released just before President Trump’s impeachment trial included texts that suggested the ambassador, Marie Yovanovitch, was being watched in Kyiv.

This is why the GOP is really defending Trump so vigorously- if he goes down, so will a good chunk of the GOP leadership who is doing the same thing, albeit slightly more slyly.

Probably the same reason Democrats don't want to impeach based on emoluments violations.

The GOP as it currently stands are a bunch of frat boy bros winking and nodding to their lobbyists. They will take money from any PAC. Why not take money from people whether they are domestic or foreign.  Nationally they are all on the hook.
It is obvious that Barr is not allowing anymore investigations to move forward as the Hyde dude should’ve had his door broken into in December when the SDNY got the information we are now seeing from Parnas.
