New $250M office park would overlook downtown

The family that owns RPI Graphic Data Solutions in Lower Price Hill has unveiled its plans for a 40-acre hilltop office complex overlooking Interstate 75 and downtown.

Rellar Family Properties envisions a $250 million office park called City View Center with a five-story building as its centerpiece.

"We've got the leg work done now and we're trying to find an anchor tenant," said Ken Rellar, president of RPI. "We really don't want a spec building. We want to find a tenant and give them input on the design of the building."

The family hopes to build 400,000 square feet of office space in three buildings: the 250,000-square-foot mid-rise as well as two smaller 75,000-square-foot structures.

I say, go for it. It's Lower Price Hill for Christ sakes. Just do it.

While Lower Price Hill definitely needs help, I will believe this one when I see it built. It sounds like just another one of those proposals people put forward hoping to interest someone, but usually nothing ever comes of them.

I tend to agree with RichNCincy's comments.  I agree that Price Hill/LPH need help, but I am not sure that these are the kind of jobs that will benefit the people in that community.  I would be more in favor of some type of manufacturing use (as per the LPH redevelopment plan).  That plan calls for a reworking of the industry that currently exits and IMO could drastically help the current residents of LPH much more than an office park.
