I don't do anything that anyone else does here. I just post here to yell into the void. Like this....

These kinds of postings and statements drive me crazy; the USA is not nor ever has been a “full democracy”. We the people do not get to vote on spending bills, declarations of war, or really any specific legislation at all, etc. Ever.

The founders designed this nation as a Constitutional Republic whereas we elect representatives to represent us under a Constitution that guided and ideally restricted them from the kinds of abuses prevalent under monarchies and such.

Lets use the proper terminology because the words we use matter.

These types of words have different meanings depending on context, and the context you're using is different than the context in the above post. You're referring to the fact that the USA isn't a direct democracy, while this is talking about the strength of Democratic institutions, free press, etc.
