Allegiant filed for a trademark for Allegiant Arena in August and said that it was for "future protection", but that is almost exactly the same time that US Bank Arena's owners announced that the US Bank deal would be ending and they'd be looking for a new sponsor.

Well, at least the airline will match the arena it sponsors.

Whelp, the great mystery is over. I guess it will be branded with the tree logo but there are quite a few Heritage Banks out there. I wish it was the over the top gold scroll logo tbh. image.png.6ef2b770f8ef7e66743252d45d441024.png

It's very odd that a mostly Kentucky-based bank with zero branches inside the City of Cincinnati is sponsoring the arena in Cincinnati. Although they do have two Ohio locations, in Montgomery and Mason.

Also, fun fact: former WKRC anchor Rob Braun recently became the spokesman for Heritage Bank.

And now you have, mission accomplished i guess? I never heard of them either except for the Rob Braun thing and even then the name slipped from my head since.

Must have gone for a considerable discount.

I am sure Heritage will be sold off in a few years to a much larger bank. Maybe then it will be the First Financial Arena then.

What if US Bank buys out Heritage...

"U.S. Bank previously paid $300,000 a year for the naming rights"

Can't imagine Heritage is paying anywhere near that.

My money is on Allegiant Arena.

A source told me that Allegiant was in negotiations for naming rights, but they couldn't come to an agreement with the venue's owners on the cost. The fact that they ended up with a second-tier local bank at the naming rights sponsor makes the think they're paying about half of what US Bank previously paid.

U.S. Bank Arena gets new name

Cincinnati’s riverfront venue formerly known as U.S. Bank Arena has a new identity.

Heritage Bank has signed on to be the new naming sponsor of the venue, which will now be called Heritage Bank Center.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but Heritage Bank chairman Chris Caddell said the bank is invested in the region and bringing a variety of events to the center.

For starters, Cher announced Monday that she will be bringing her tour to the newly named center on April 7.

They have neither ant presence nor human presence.

The value in the arena naming rights has to do with its location. Having a branding presence on the interstate where you essentially get a billboard at the most prominent location in the city. The events that take place in the arena are secondary.

Even more than the location, is the use of the name in every advertisement for said events, in print, TV and social media.

I had heard at one time that Pure Romance was paying somewhere like $15-$20k per month to have their sign on the rotating billboards at USBank Arena. They purchased a warehouse right at the bridge on 3rd street solely because they wanted to use it as a billboard for the highway and no longer pay for the USBank sign.
