    I agree with you 100%. It should be left up to science to decide. But who's science? It's already appearant that scientists findings are manipulated, much more so from the left than right. Theres too much power to be had if the left wins out, thats why theyre so adamant and in some cases just plain fraudulant. If the left can overpower the right on this issue, frankly, I dont want to live here anymore. The government will effectively dictate EVERYTHING you do, tracking your "carbon footprint". You can kiss any semblance of a free society away if the left gets its way. This isnt paranoia, it's fact. Exactly my point. From your POV, it is "appearant" the left is manipulating this issue and you are not going to budge because your feet are entrenched with the rest of the right-wingers. No scientific report is going to convince you otherwise, regardless of objectivity/credibility. On the other hand, hard core left-wingers are so convinced that something can and must be done about global warming that they are pulling as tightly on their side of the rope as you are on yours. It is a pride thing at this point and science being selectively accepted on this issue is the direct result of the animosity between the two factions. Think about it - did you have to even read this thread to know certain forumers position on this issue. I didn't. I didn't have to read Ram's latest post to know what he was going to say in response to my post... or really even the way he was going to say it. I don't need to ask either of you whether you think gays should have the undeniable right to marry and adopt - I already know your answer. To me, it has nothing to do with pride. Its about being free as a nation. As our forefathers sought. Everything on the agenda of the man made theorizers is pure communism. I want no part of that. Its about giving up your privacy, your civil liberties, your way of life. Its not about pride. And when it comes to gay marriage, frankly, i dont care. I personally dont think the government should have any say in ANYONE getting married, gay or straight. It should be up to your church or congregation or whatever it is you belong to. The decisions you make are for you and your maker to deal with. Not me. Who the hell am I to tell you how to live your life?

  5. This shit pisses me off. And when anyone says something, all you hear is anti-semite! f**k you! That country burdens America beyond comprehension. Their government resembles a rabid dog foaming at the mouth, wanting to attack someone, something, anything. And as Ariel Sharon stated: "Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." - Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, October 3, 2001" Breaking the Taboo on Israel's Spying Efforts on the United States By Christopher Ketcham, AlterNet. Posted March 10, 2009. Israel runs one of the most aggressive and damaging espionage networks targeting the U.S., yet public discussion about it is almost nil. Scratch a counterintelligence officer in the U.S. government and they'll tell you that Israel is not a friend to the United States. http://www.alternet.org/audits/130891

THOMAS KOSTIGEN'S ETHICS MONITOR The $700 trillion elephant Commentary: Gargantuan derivatives market weighs on all other issues By Thomas Kostigen, MarketWatch Last update: 12:01 a.m. EST March 6, 2009Comments: 355SANTA MONICA, Calif. (MarketWatch) -- There's a $700 trillion elephant in the room and it's time we found out how much it really weighs on the economy. Derivative contracts total about three-quarters of a quadrillion dollars in "notional" amounts, according to the Bank for International Settlements. These contracts are tallied in notional values because no one really can say how much they are worth. http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/The-700-trillion-elephant-room/story.aspx?guid={024DB809-8506-4AA9-83BB-B053FD4E1C11}

  8. Government Sets Us Up for the Next Bust By John Stossel • March 2009 If an athlete injures himself and suffers great pain, we recognize the shortsightedness of giving him painkillers to keep him going. The pain might be masked, but at the risk of greater injury later. That’s a good analogy for the inflationary policies now pursued by Washington. These policies may temporarily “stimulate the economy,” but they also disguise and aggravate the underlying problems. We will all pay a serious price. Policy makers have thrown caution to the wind. Twelve-digit dollar figures are tossed about casually. Late last year, after then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson changed course—yet again—and announced that the Federal Reserve would commit $800 billion more in “new loans and debt purchases,” the New York Times reported, “Fed and Treasury officials made it clear that the sky was the limit.” ... http://www.thefreemanonline.org/columns/give-me-a-break/government-sets-us-up-for-the-next-bust/
