  1. As of today, not much different from the above picture, just the vertical slats are installed the whole length of the garage.

  4. But would move the stadium that has 80+ events a year out of the heart of downtown and bring in the one that has 8-10 events a year. This would probably hamstring a lot of local businesses in the Gateway.
  5. That stretch, with another rapid stop, could absolutely explode and start a major push into Clark Fulton.
  6. I do know the sale of some of those vacant lots on w.38th between the red line and 90 (which belong to the land bank) was blocked by the local councilman due to some existing interest from developers (allegedly a hotel?). I mentioned something here about a year ago when the sale was blocked.
  7. I've heard multiple sources say it was a gas leak / explosion. Not sure if anything is confirmed or if that's just speculative.
  8. Overall it seems pretty reasonable, at least compared to what Brecksville gave up for just a fraction of the jobs.
  9. Theres pretty steady development going on here, just nothing sexy and exciting like other neighborhoods. Several storefronts and buildings have been renovated and have new businesses in them, the Animal Hospital tore down two buildings in its gear up for a major expansion. It's a slower, steadier neighborhood for sure.
  10. Looking at it from the ground they almost certainly added retail bays into the Euclid side. They are pretty small, I can't imagine much more than things like a coffee shop or gift shop, but they are there.

  14. I can see this increasing local tourism to places like the rock hall or other downtown events, but not foot traffic for downtown proper. For a suburbanite it's a "let's go to the rock hall and then hit the outlets on the way back". Its another draw to move the needle to give some people a reason to get into the area.

Not to get this off track, but WeWork's issues were really centered around them leasing, not owning, some of the most expensive real estate in the country, as well as a total disregard for any financial discipline. Here they own the real estate and I'm sure it won't be as lavish and extravagant as a WeWork, it will just be "nice". Coworking spaces in and of themselves are very popular and successful.
  17. Large crane this morning with some type of harness lifting things in or out of right field this morning. I breezed past too fast and couldn't get a picture but it was a pretty massive crane and, wild speculation here, the harness was about the size of those boxes in the outfield.
  18. Main building....may not beat Key Tower in height. So, what you're saying is there multiple buildings with at least one very tall, probably at least skyline altering and possibly larger than Key.
  19. The whole keith building shook, lots of screaming from the street level, but it seems like no ambulances or panic now that it's over. There's a few beams sticking out of the ground if you look closely in that picture, as well as the one that hit the garage.
  20. Large beams just fell from the crane. Doesnt appear to be any injuries . They fell from at least 20 stories up, maybe more.
