  1. A Republican tells the truth, and the Democrats throw a tantrum. During the course of this speech, and by the end of it, most Democrats walked out of the room. The left cannot handle the truth.
  2. ^Again as stated before, there is not enough land available for an IKEA at Steelyard. The largest available open space at Steelyard is only 11-12 acres, plus there are a few smaller pieces of land still available for development. The Best Buy site is being redeveloped currently for a fitness facility, and even if that were not happening, the former Best Buy site would not be big enough for IKEA. If IKEA would have been planned from the time Steelyard Commons was first proposed, then yes IKEA could have been a part of the development, but now retail already there would have to be removed to make room for an IKEA. I do not see this happening.
  3. Nov. 7, 2017 United States elections Off-year election facts Congressional special elections Seats contested 6 House seats and 1 Senate seat Net change 0 All Congressional special election seats were retained by the Republicans. Gubernatorial elections Seats contested 2 Net change +1 Democrat, -1 Republican So, only one state Gubernatorial seat changed hands from R to D. Of the 50 states, after the 2017 elections, the number of states that the Republicans control vs the Democrats on the state Senate level is 36-R vs 14-D. The Republicans lost control of 1 state Senate. On the state House level, the Republicans have a 30-R vs 18-D lead. Of the 7383 state legislative seats as of Nov 1, 2017, the Republicans have an approx. 1k seat lead over the Democrats. I do not think losing 32 state seats in the Nov. 7, 2017 elections means the Republicans have anything to worry about. https://ballotpedia.org/Election_results,_2017
  4. Wrong! Three teams have won the WS with winning streaks of 18 games in the regular season, or more. 1. Chicago White Sox in 1906 2. NY Yankees in 1947 3. NY Yankees in 1953
  5. Why should 20 children and 7 adults murdered make a difference when 600,000 - 700,000 babies murdered in the womb each year don't. This man had hate in his heart for whatever reason, and for whatever reason choose to show that hate by murdering innocent people. He was no different than any of the other mass murders who committed this horrific act.
  6. And you think a woman who allowed American Citizens/Gov. Employees to be murdered in Benghazi in 2012 would have been the right person to lead this great country. The delusional ones are those who thought Hillary was fit to run this great country.
  7. Please cite from the piece how it shows Obama messed with the 2017 election. I'll wait. ever hear of the term "typographical error?" of course not. I forgot. You're perfect! But I guess that's all you've got. SAD :-( You could also cite how he messed with the 2016 election. If all the spelling mistakes, grammar errors, and other mistakes were to be corrected by their posters all the time, the UO site would probably need another server to store all the additional post. Get over it.
  8. Indians defeat Min 5-2, win 100th game of the year, first 100 win season since 1995. Go Tribe.
  9. Yep, Obama didn't mess with the 2017 election, or with President Trump's attempt to right the country. How Obama is funding the anti-Trump resistance By Paul Sperry New York Post 9/23/17 Wall Street might be shocked to learn it is helping bankroll the anti-Trump “resistance” movement that’s aggressively fighting policies it favors — including corporate tax cuts and the repeal of Obama-era banking and health-care regulations. The Obama administration’s massive shakedown of Big Banks over the mortgage crisis included unprecedented back-door funding for dozens of Democratic activist groups who were not even victims of the crisis. At least three liberal nonprofit organizations the Justice Department approved to receive funds from multibillion-dollar mortgage settlements were instrumental in killing the ObamaCare repeal bill and are now lobbying against GOP tax reform, as well as efforts to rein in illegal immigration....... https://nypost.com/2017/09/23/how-obama-is-funding-the-anti-trump-resistance/
  10. There are many opportunities out there for those who are not into or able to get into computer type jobs, or do not want to go to a 4 year college, and other types of tech collar positions. With the baby boomers retiring at an ever increasing rate, shortages are already happening in the nursing filed, plumbers, construction workers, machinist, auto mechanic's, and on and on. This are the jobs for those who are of an economic aimless stage. There are plenty of companies out there who are willing to pay/educate these individuals so as to fill the jobs available, or will become available in the future. Community Colleges, special vocational training schools are out there for those who desire to make a good living at a good wage. The places that could help to guide individuals to these fields in need, and the training available are job centers, union halls, community organizations, etc..
  11. This is the post from back in July, of which I am a fan of. But the most recent renderings imo are horrible, and in 20 years will be so undesirable. Anyone know why the big change in design?
  12. Re: most of the post from today. The attached article is from 4 years ago, yet it offers insight on why dem's/repub's think the way they do about cities/states. Democrats Run America’s Ten Poorest Cities 4 years ago I have come to believe that chain emails may one day lead to the death of our society. Chain emails alone are responsible for the creation and the success of at least one popular website, snopes.com. Chain emails (and their ugly step-sister, the forward) are the bane of every email user’s technological needs. We must make ourselves more adept with modern technology so we have to use the internet and email… which leads us to receive junk mail at a level far worse than anything the old mainstay, snail mail, used to give us. But not all chain mail/forward/junk mail is bad; in fact, there are times when these pieces of technological dross are downright informative!........... http://eaglerising.com/1912/democrats-run-americas-ten-poorest-cities/
  13. ^ ^^Instead of what could have been, or speculation, how about a few facts that are true/accurate. Indians 53 wins on the road this year are the most ever for them in regular season. 14 wins on the road in a row broke the old record of 13. In their own divisional games against Chi, Det, KC, and Min, the tribes record per team for 2017 is KC 12-7, Det 13-6, Chi 11-5, and Min 10-6, with 6 games left (3 with Min, 3 with Chi). Very impressive.
  14. Obviously, you are allowed to proclaim your choice as to what is best, or not. But there are probably just as many people out there who think that Campbell's is the best. Now, I have never been to this Kernels, but have been to Campbell's (way to many times), so I cannot say if one is better than the other, but what is good for the city/downtown as a whole is that Campbell's is going to set up shop downtown, and we can most likely all agree that is a good thing, and wish them success.
  15. Trump: NFL comment has 'nothing to do with race' September 24, 2017 President Donald Trump says his objection to NFL players kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality "has nothing to do with race." Trump made the comments shortly before boarding his return flight to Washington on Sunday. (Sept. 24)....... https://www.onenewsnow.com/general/video?vid=11422
