  1. I'm looking forward to this development, I heard he may also develop the Spitzer property further west on a Detroit which would be welcome!
  2. News, at least. The take-offs of Hard Rock Cafe or Margaritaville haven't seemed to have luck locally... (thinking of Alice Cooper's restaurant on 9th, Toby Keith, now Rascal Flatts...) I sensed Flats East Bank was attempting to be a little higher-end, so these cheesy theme franchises felt a little out-of-place to begin with. Looking forward to what's next...
  3. If I'm not mistaken, this looks like this is a refinement to the Beer Garden concept aodk had previously shared. (Between Edwards & Ethel @ Detroit.) https://www.cleveland.com/lakewood/index.ssf/2018/05/new_lakewood_truck_park_bar_pr.html
  4. First I've heard complaints of gridlock. My office is in FEB and I haven't noticed the traffic problem here yet.
  5. Agree 100% that parking charge is hurting businesses. Cleveland suburbanites are not accustomed to paying to park to eat dinner. So many other nearby options (Tremont, Ohio City, Lakewood, etc) where you can use that money for an extra drink or dessert.
  6. Here's a video piece done by WKYC on the Flats East bank project with an update on progress to-date. http://www.wkyc.com/news/article/276717/3/See-the-Possible-Flats-East-Bank-project
  7. Could have sworn the office tower was further along...
  8. Did somebody trip over the power cord to the webcam? http://www.flatseast.com/webcam.htm
  9. Is anyone clear on what is high-tech about this fabric? I've seen it mentioned but never explained.
  10. Nice photos! Also - I ran across this ancient post today -- sometimes it's nice when the pessimists have to eat their words.
  11. This picture from mrclifton88's June 11 2012 post shows that detail in reality
  12. Was up on the 13th floor (level 16 from the ground) of the Ernst & Young tower yesterday. Views are great from every angle - North Great unobstructed view of Lake Erie West The flats & lighted bridges (which by the way are going out to RFP to get all the lights turned back on) Southeast Downtown skyline, Burke, Browns stadium The final height should be right about 325 feet by the way (from the base ground level - there's a 38 foot difference in grade.) 13. I don't remember seeing this video posted here yet. Some great views from Ernst & Young Tower. Flats East Bank Topping Out - Last Beam video tour on Vimeo
